I find joy in my family and faith community and in watching the generations of children grow up to be amazing adults.

I am an abolitionist – meaning, I believe that every decision we make today to invest in the well being of people and communities is a decision that makes a thriving future for us all a real possibility and not just a pipe dream.

I believe in the power of healthy institutions to anchor communities and movements.

I am grateful for ancestors and trying my best to be a good ancestor for those who come behind me. I hope they will find the stories, songs, empowering histories, and joy in the traces I leave behind.
